John Wm. Richardson
John Wm. Richardson was born in California in 1955, and would have departed shortly thereafter, but could not find the car keys. He currently works as a computer instructor. He spends his free time humoring and spoiling his wife where they reside in Northern Maine.
Primal Whimper
Primal Whimper
People of Iron long turned to rust
Searching for a past that never was
The accusers and the accused
For what the world has become
Boomers who shot their collective wad
On some middle of the road gambit
The Great American Dream gone wet
Inheritance of the Xers
Who rattle their bones
And keen for the future
Placard carrying ‘sayers of doom
Droning insects and machinery
Background noise to be ignored
When the women go on retreat
And men beat drums
Both call it gender bonding
When it is no more than
A fresh coat of civilization paint
On old fashioned tribalism
Nonetheless renewed
And imbued with the word of the day
They return to face the enemy
Who is such an elusive foe
Staring out from the other side of the mirror
No one seems to realize or care
Yet so many waken trembling
Late at night
When the soul whispers
"You are dying for the want of Life."
